The Departments section will list all departments present on the CallSwitch system, and give the ability to edit or add a new ones. Departments are used by CallSwitch to assign application licenses and to sort extensions based on the department they belong to.
This feature is handy for deploying Application licenses in a more manageable fashion.
When you click on the Add Department link or the edit button you will be presented with this screen:

Assigning a Department:
Once a Department is setup on the platform it can be assigned to an extension, this can either be done before the extension is set up or after.
Extensions can have multiple departments set if required.
Assigning App licenses to departments:
Navigate to Apps > Templates
Select your Department from the Dropdown and assign the apps as required:
Ensure "Use department templates" is enabled in the extension settings under "Editions & Modules"
