If you would like to add some design to your proposal templates, you can take advantage of our Background feature. Not only do we provide some free stock backgrounds, but you can also upload your own custom background. Here’s how it works.
Start by creating a new template and giving it a title. Next, click on the round icon at the top right hand corner. This will bring up the “Backgrounds Library” which will display “My Backgrounds” which are backgrounds you’ve uploaded or “Stock Backgrounds” which are free backgrounds provided by Proposable. Keep in mind you must be on a Team account to upload your own custom backgrounds. The stock backgrounds are available on all plans.
Here’s a quick walk through on how to apply the background:
Now that you’re an expert, let’s get a little more advanced on creating or customizing our own backgrounds. We recommend the following while creating your Custom Backgrounds:
- Ensure your image is 8.5 x 11
- It must be either a JPG or PNG
- Do not exceed 10MB per background (might cause slower load times or make your PDF large)
- The resolution must be at least 100px
When creating your backgrounds, make sure you leave some white space for your text. Otherwise you’ll need to use a different color font for it to be visible on top of the background image.
You can also convert PDFs or other documents to background images, but keep in mind the above mentioned parameters when converting.
Here are some FAQ’s:
